WARREN, Mrs. Debra R. - Age 51, found peace in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her residence. Family hour 10AM Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Five Fold Ministry Christian Center, 8041 N. McKinley Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Pastor Juanita Crump officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mrs. Warren now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM today. Mrs. Debra Rene (Burks) Thomas Warren was born December 1, 1957 in Flint, MI to Joyce E. Burks and Clifton Miller. She graduated from Flint Public Schools and was employed at Delphi Corporation and was a member of UAW local 651. Debra was a member of Five Fold Ministry Christian Center. Debra loved her family and had a special devoted love for children. Debra was blessed with a very outgoing personality and a generous spirit. She never met a stranger and was never far away from a telephone. Debra enjoyed cooking and especially took pride in preparing holiday meals. She enjoyed helping others, donning the latest fashions, and gardening. Mrs. Debra Rene (Burks) Thomas Warren leaves to cherish her memory: son, Ayindya (Tiffany) Thomas; daughter, Cherese Pittman; parents, Joyce (Curtis) Crump and Henry Thomas, Jr.; grandchildren, Ayindya II, Mizahnyi, Anthony III, Zion, and Indy; former husband Shelby Warren; step-children JaKeiya, JaMillah, Jevoniou, DeShon, Shelby, Antoinette, Shelton, and Coleman; step-grandchildren, Anaia Cleon, James, JaCorey, and Lacey; special sister, Shawn (Timothy) Edwards; brother, Curtis Garron (Carrie) Crump; sisters, Ramona (Toriano) Allen and Tracey Wells; grandmothers, Elaine Burks and Adella Crump; aunts and uncles, Denise Burks, Rita Doyle, Pamela (Henry) Simpson, Clarence Burks, David (Alisha) Burks, Sammie Lee Miller, and Dee Dee Miller; nieces and nephews, Timothy II, Trent, and Trey Edwards, Mariah, Gabriel, and Kash Crump, Tory & Toraya Allen; special cousin Sidney Stewart; special friends, Kathy Warren, Lou Alice, Virgie, Rebecca, Willie, Brenda, Gay-Gay, Mary and many other relatives and friends.
