PHIFER, Mrs. Deborah - Age 49, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007 at her residence. Family hour 1:30PM Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Tuesday. Mrs. Phifer will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mrs. Deborah D. Phifer was born February 11, 1958 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of James and Levoid Thomas. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Deborah reaccepted Christ at her residence with her son at her bedside. She had a passion for education receiving Certifications as a Truck Driver, Cosmetologist, and as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Deborah was a strong woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She exemplified the meaning of unconditional love. She will be dearly missed, but her memory lives in the hearts of the lives she has touched. Mrs. Deborah D. Phifer leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Hemory Phifer, Sr. of Flint; daughter, Pachiona; 2 sons, Hemory Jr. and Jeremiah; 2 stepchildren, Valerie Colton of Georgia and Ah-Kiruha "Tay-Tay" of Flint; grandchildren, Jalissa Colton of Franklin, GA; brother, Willie James (Fanny) Phifer of Roanoke, AL; 10 nieces; 8 nephews; 4 aunts, Genora "Helen" Price, Dessie Mae Buckley both of Flint, Mattie (Mack) Jordan and Betty Harris both of Round Lake, MS; 2 uncles, Rollen Smith of Youngstown, OH and Elliot Rutherford of Taylor, MI; host of cousins; mother-in-law, Alberta Phifer; father-in-law, William Townes Jr.; 3 sisters-in-law, Patricia (Terry) Walker, Annie Willingham and Sandra Ree McCloud of Roanoke, AL; 3 brothers-in-law, Glen Edward Phifer, Robert T., and Robert James Phifer. Mrs. Phifer was preceded in death by her son, Jevory "Fatty" Phifer; mother, Levoid Thomas; fathers, James Thomas and Willie Howard; 2 sisters, Janet Thomas and Genora Lynn Thomas; fathers-in-law, Willie June Phifer, Ben Danner and Willie James Young.
