CRAWFORD, Mr. DeAndre "Bird" - Age 21, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Family hour Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM, Rev. Mack Larkin officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Tuesday. Mr. Crawford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. DeAndre “Bird” Crawford was born March 11, 1987 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Deana Renee Hearod and Bruce Crawford, Sr. He was a member of True Temple Community Church and enjoyed visiting other churches in the community. Young Mr. Crawford was striving to achieve a status of adult responsibility by obtaining employment and had been an employee of Holiday Inn for a short while. He realized the value of education and returned to the classroom in pursuit of his high school diploma through Mott Adult. DeAndre enjoyed basketball, video games, movies, playing cards and telling jokes. Mr. DeAndre Crawford leaves to cherish his memories of his life: mother, Deana “Big DD” Hearod; father, Bruce (Mia) Crawford, Sr.; grandparents, Jeanette Jordan, Raymond Jordan, Sr. and Louise Crawford; 2 daughters, Lodreai Crawford and DeAsiah Jamerson; 2 sons, Larry Beasley and Mykel Richards; 4 brothers, Bruce (Trina) Crawford, Marques Crawford, Brandon Crawford and DaShawn Dumas; 6 aunts, Karen Childs of Sturgis, MS, Charlotte Williams, Tiffany Hearod, Ann, Cynthia and Carol Crawford; 2 uncles, Kevin Hearod and Raymond Jordan, Jr. all of Flint; special cousins, Lori, Tanjanika and Jakkia; girlfriend, Latrice Gentry; best friend, DeAndre ‘Duke” Tyrus; role model and mentor, Mack Harper; godfather, Calvin Edwards; special friends, Earl Hart, Taji Jones, and Sharika Tyson. “Bird” will be remembered and missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Rosie Hampton and his grandfathers, W.C. Horton and Mr. Crawford.
