COLE, Mr. Deandre S. - Age 21, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Bro. Jessie Belk officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Cole will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Mr. DeAndre Shardell Cole was born May 31, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Samuel L., Jr. and Velesa Cole. DeAndre was a resident of Flint. Even though DeAndre was a big guy, he was a big baby. He graduated from Carmen-Ainsworth High School and was employed with the Genesee County Land Bank. DeAndre loved working on cars, shopping, collecting shoes and going to car shows. He loved children and his parents cooking. DeAndre was a very loving, soft spoken person and a very hard worker. He loved spending time with his fiancee’ and with his brother working on cars, he never wanted his brother out of his sight. DeAndre felt so blessed to have so many family members and friends that loved him. He would always remember the Scripture Ecc: 12:1; Remember your grand creator in the days of your young manhood before the calamitous days proceed to come. Mr. DeAndre S. Cole leaves to cherish his memory: fiancee’, Tavaysha Doss; parents, Samuel L. Cole, Jr. and Velesa Cole; brother, Samuel L. (Tiffany) Cole III; 2 sisters, Samara R. and Samari Cole; grandmother, Pearlie L. Cole; 2 nieces, Samaya Cole and Tiara Langley; nephew, Samuel L. Cole IV; 7 aunts, Dianne Clark, Wanda “Terry” Hill, Serena Harris, Cathy Edwards, Debra (Solomon) Love-Yearby, Kathy Hodge, Terri (Adam) Ahmed; uncle, David B. (Linda) Hodge; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special cousins, Alexander Hill, Joseph Clark, Roemecoe Baker, Shavonte Edwards, Lorenzo Avery, Sr., Lorenzo Avery, Jr., Johnny Player, David, Jr., Jaivan and Milton Hodge; special friends, Reggie Smiley, Michael Davis, Jason Gillard, Sherita Williams, Leotha Scroggins, Frances Henry and Kanela Williams. Mr. Cole was preceded in death by grandmother, Virgie R. Hodge; and 2 grandfathers, Van O. Hodge and Samuel L. Cole, Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to the entire family, Bro.
