Ms. Deana Seant'e Lewis

LEWIS, Ms. Deana - Age 46, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Ms. Lewis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Ms. Deana Seant’a Lewis was born December 1, 1972 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Etoy Lewis-Harrison and the late Melvin Crowder. Deana was an energetic soul. That beautiful energy was recognized as she began modeling for Montgomery Ward’s Department Store. She was also a student of United Tae Kwon Do Karate School of Flint where she was the youngest student to ever break a board, which was a high accomplishment. Deana enjoyed bike riding but her favorite pastime was tagging along with her big sister, Tamika. She accepted Christ at an early age attending St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Deana attended Flint Beecher Community Schools where she participated in track and field and several talent shows. She was a proud graduate of the Beecher “Class of 1990.” On March 6, 1994 she became the proud mother of Ms. Aireka Seant’a Lewis. As an adult, Deana joined New Life Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Announcing Clerk. She was employed with General Motors Corporation for over 20+ years. Her smile would light up a room and her personality would fill it. Deana enjoyed watching The Golden Girls, spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime according to her was smoking cigarettes with Granny. Deana was a proud mother to Aireka and a super cool aunt to Erick. She was a loyal friend, an adoring god-mother of 8 and Tamika’s favorite little sister. Ms. Deana Seant’a Lewis leaves to cherish lasting memories in the hearts of: loving daughter, Aireka Lewis; mother, Etoy Lewis-Harrison; grandmother, Mildred Straham; sisters, Tamika Lewis and Margo (Barry) Fisher; nephew, Erick Lewis of Omaha, NE; aunts, Bernadette Munerlyn and Ajdron Rogers; uncles, Ramon Munerlyn, Raydell (Lorraine) Munerlyn; Bruce Lewis, Kenneth Crowder of Battle Creek, MI and Michael Lewis of California; special friend, Duane Auld; the memories will continue among a host of family and friends. Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by her daughter, Pretoria Richmond; father, Melvin Crowder; grandparents, Mary Francis Munerlyn, Thayola Bettis, Myrtle and Bill Crowder; nephew, Mack Parrish IV; and uncles, Calvin Munerlyn and Prentiss Munerlyn.
