Deacon Wright,

WRIGHT, Mr. Julius "Pee Wee" - Age 62, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10:30a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2004 at Northeast Missionary Baptist Church, 715 E. Parkway, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11a.m. Pastor James Fair officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30a.m. Saturday. Mr. Wright will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12noon-8p.m. Friday. Deacon Julius Wright, Sr. "Pee Wee" was born April 18, 1942 in Coatopa, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron and Callie D. Wright. Deacon Wright had been a resident of Flint, MI since 1968. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Northeast Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. On September 1, 2004, he retired after 35 1/2 years of service with General Motors Corporation (Buick) Plant #36, where he worked as a crank adjuster. Deacon Wright had been a Master Mason of Styles Lodge #17 in Detroit, MI since June 1974. He loved all sports, fishing, baking, repairing cars, family gatherings, working at the church and speaking The Word of the Lord. Deacon Julius Wright, Sr. "Pee Wee" leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife of 30 years, Billie Lynn Wright, 3 daughters, Carla (Willie)Wright-Jenkins, Tasheen Benton and Tamike Wright; 2 sons, Julius Wright, Jr. and Marvin Wright; 2 step-children, Torina Benton and Taseenea Benton; grandchildren, Jerry Goodlow Jr., James Mitchell Jr., Nicole Storey, Nakeia Storey, Marvin Wright Jr., LaToya Taylor, LaQuisha Patrick, Eric Miller, Jr., Dominic Manuel, Jr., Zy'Aire Gee and ZyKesha Gee; 5 sisters, Irene Killing, Carrie (Jacob) Gattigunde, Betty Jean Green, Orange Lee Tyler and Elnora Edwards; 5 brothers, Aaron (Rosie) Wright, Henry (Odessa) Wright, Davis Wright, Otis Wright and James (Alice) Russell; sister-in-law, Gloria Benton; and 3 brothers-in-law, David Benton, Clifton Ross and Marshall Flowers; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Clarence Martin, Johnnie Ruby, Major Patrick, H.B. Barfield, Bill McMurtry and Lynn Mitchell. Deacon Wright was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Callie D. Wright; sister, Velma D. Flowers; and 3 brothers, Jimmie, Robert and J.D. Wright. The family would like to express special thanks to the staffs of Hurley Medical Center, and McLaren Regional Medical Center, Amazing Grace Evangelistic Ministries, Pastor James C. Fair and the Northeast Missionary Baptist Church family.
