CLAUSELL, Dea. Charles E., Sr. - Age 54, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, April 24, 2006 at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, G-5283 Clio Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor K.D. Yarber officiating. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, 2020 E. Hill Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM. Dea. Clausell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Dea. Charles E. Clausell, Sr. was born May 18, 1951 in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Prince and Pearline Clausell. He was a faithful member of the Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board, Senior Usher Board, Mighty Men Choir and Pastoral Anniversary Committee. Dea. Clausell was a checker for Chevrolet V-8 Engine Plant, a division of General Motors Corporation, retiring in August 1999. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Dea. Charles E. Clausell, Sr. leaves to cherish his sweet memories: devoted wife for 35 years, Elizabeth Clausell; daughter, LaShannda (Lamar) Hill; son, Charles (Tonya) Clausell; 5 grandchildren, Brianna Clausell, Jarel Floyd, Jalen Clausell, Jamar Hill, all of Flint, and Shawn Mitchell of Oceanside, CA; 5 brothers, Michael (Janita) Clausell of Knoxville, TN, Clarence, James and Robert Clausell of Mobile, AL, Prince (Lindell) Clausell of Flint; aunt, Eunice Ingram of Flint; uncle, Roosevelt (Marie) Davis of Mobile, AL; 5 sisters-in-law, Jacquelin Robinson of Mt. Morris, Mattie Thompson, Judy King, Catherine Coleman and Gwen Jackson all of Detroit; 4 brothers-in-law, Russell Jackson of Philadelphia, PA, John and Leroy Jackson, and Richard Thompson, all of Detroit; 3 play sisters, Johnnie Welch, Kathie Norris and Chinese Bonds; 2 godchildren, Desiree Ford and Terry McFarland of Detroit; godmother, Edna Chaney of Flint; devoted neighbors, Jimmie and Stella Stewart; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Raphus (Sandy) Lewis of Grand Blanc, Bishop Clarence (Lisa) Hughes of Mobile, AL, Walter (Marjorie) Jones of Flint. Dea. Clausell was preceded in death by his parents, Prince and Pearline Clausell; sister, Georgia Bennett; 3 brothers, Willie, Leroy, and Percy Robinson.
