MILLER, Mr. David - Age 81, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Willowbrook Manor. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, January 4, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2:30 PM Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 Friday with the family present from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. David Miller was born December 18, 1938 in Louisville, Mississippi, the son of JP and Catherine Miller. David was a resident of Flint, Michigan and retired from the Flint Board of Education. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding. Mr. David Miller leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Christine Miller; 3 daughters, Brenda Anderson, Valerie Miller and Paula Miller; 5 sons, David Miller Jr., Bruce Miller, Brian (Tarekka), Gary (Teresa) and Leroy Parks; grandchildren, Lawrence Crawford, Abraham Carter, Latanius Miller and Simon Miller; great-grandchildren, Abraham Carter III, Averiana and Amarianna Carter; sisters, Ella Mae Campbell, Bessie Ann Sanders, Dorothy (Sidney) Eiland and Ollie Jean Eiland; 2 brothers, Jimmy Miller and Charlie Miller; sisters-in-law, Ollie Stone, Jane Forbes, Jestine Miller, Irene Hampton, Ruby Carter and Amie Lockett; 9 nieces, Tequila Foster, Nicey, Marshea, Patricia Ball, Chandra Kirk, Gail (Glenn) Sanders, Deanna Sanders, Kenya Mitchell and Chanda Miller; 14 nephews, Timothy Miller, Floyd Miller, LaRon Miller, Fredrick Miller, Joey Sanders, Kendrick Miller, John Campbell Jr., Jamarus Campbell, Terry Robinson, Charlie Miller Jr., Carey Miller, Dexter Eiland, Lee Eiland and Dee Eiland; uncle, Sylvester Miller; father & mother-in-law, David and Ruby Glandey; sister-in-law, Ivory Miller; brothers-in-law, John Campbell and Joseph Sanders; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his 2 sons; parents; 1 brother; 1 sister-in-law; and 2 brothers-in-law.
