Mr. David Booth

BOOTH, Mr. David, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Church of Trinity Pentecostal, 421 E 12th St., with funeral services commencing at 11 a.m. Bishop Rosal McFadden officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Booth will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. David Booth was born on March 22, 1959, the son of Major and Cora Lee Booth. Although originally from Little Rock, AR, the family moved to Flint, MI where he graduated from Beecher High school, “Class of 1977”. After years of labor and dedication, Mr. Booth retired from General Motors. A God fearing man, Mr. Booth was a member of Church of Trinity Pentecostal, where he regularly attended. Outside of attending church, a few of his favorite pass times were fishing and spending time with his family. Most of all he loved playing bass guitar. He was a member of Mason Holy St. John Lodge 19, where he held the position of Treasure and Traveling Man. Mr. Booth had been a member with the lodge since January 5, 2008. Mr. Booth leaves to cherish his lasting memory: devoted wife of 19 years, Marie (Earnest) Booth of Flint, MI; daughter, Davena Booth; sons, Zack Allen, Derrick (Shayla) Booth of Little Rock, AR, Dametrius and Davelle Booth of Flint, MI; 9 grandchildren; mother, Cora Booth of Flint, MI; 2 sisters, Mary Louise (Robert) Randall and Loraine Booth of Flint, MI; 2 brothers, Major Lee Jr. and Freddie Lee Booth Sr. of Flint, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Gloria Earnest; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Lawrence Allen Jr., Veronica Jordan, Gloria Johnson and Mother Bernice Brown. Mr. Booth was preceded in death by his father Major Lee Booth Sr., special friend Rodney Grayson, and father-in-law Eddie Lee Earnest. The family would like to express special thanks to Bishop and First Lady Rosal and Ruthie McFadden and the Church of Trinity Pentecostal family, along with the 4-West ICU Staff at Hurley Medical Center.
