PUGH, Ms. Darnisha Michelle - Age 26, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Morris Collins, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Wednesday. Ms. Pugh will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Tuesday. Ms. Darnisha Michelle Pugh was born January 7, 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Antionette Battle and Thomas D. Pugh. She became a resident of Flint, Michigan at a early age and was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Darnisha was a member of the Choir, Usher Board, Sunday School and Bible Study. She graduated from Mott College Workforce and held an Administrative Position. Ms. Darnisha enjoyed singing, listening to music and hanging with her mother and her “Grand”. She was very caring, loving and gave her all to anyone she encountered. Darnisha was spoiled. Ms. Darnisha Michelle Pugh leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Antionette Battle; step-father, Willie L. Granberry, both of Flint; grandmother, Joy Battle; god-son, Amillion Bates of Saginaw, MI; adopted parents, Pastor Morris and Delonda Collins; step-brothers, Donquay Granberry and Andre Yancy of Flint; aunts, Shirley (Hank) Dyer of Flint, Ruby Barrentine, Mary (Albert) Freeland, Deborah Pugh-McMurray, Cathy (Larry) Smith, Stephanie Alexander and Kathy Benson, all of Tennessee, Earnestine Rodgers, Sandra Pugh, Danetta (Clifford) Julian of Michigan and Denise Blake of California; uncles, Dr. Earnest Pugh of Texas, Maurice (Dianne) Brown of Michigan, Carlos (Sharonda) Smith of Tennessee, Vernon (Regina) Jenkins of Texas, Anthony Jenkins of Battle Creek, MI, Jeffrey (Lena) Jenkins of Tennessee, William (Kathy) Battle of Indiana and Micheal Battle of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including best friend, Nahbria Thompson; special cousin, Diamond Corley; god-mothers, Yolanda Randolph and Sonya Pate. Ms. Pugh was preceded in death by her father, Thomas D. Pugh; grandfather, William Battle Sr.; grandparents, Earnest and Lille Pugh, Artie “OC” Cook; great-grandmother, Lucille Crenshaw; uncle, Ronnie Jenkins; cousins, Joe and Caleb.
