OAKS, Ms. Darnisha - Age 20, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Seldon J. Williams, Jr., officiating. Interment Gracelawn Communityy Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Ms. Oaks will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Monday. Ms. Darnisha Lashawn Oaks was born January 6, 1993 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Delores Smith and Darnell Pringle. Darnisha, was a member of True Temple Community Church. She attended Northern High School, Northwestern High School and Stocker Elementary. She enjoyed singing, dancing, running and family gatherings. Ms. Darnisha Lashawn Oaks leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Za’niyah Smith; parents, Delores Smith and Darnell Pringle; grandparents, Bonnie Smith and Robert and Annie Peoples; 4 sisters, Tashina, Sharnell Pringle, Janiya Smith and Angel Smith; 7 brothers, Defan, Quatrail Smith, Larry Taren, Shiron Hamlet, Jamarion, Jamal, Durriekon; 7 nieces, Zalicia Smith, Laniyah, Tosheonia, Taniyah, Tashi, Jamea, Tamyah,; 3 nephews, Jalon, Jakari and Jordon; 14 aunts, Bridgett, Pamela, Annette, Sonya, Donna, Beverly Smith, Angela Jones, Jennifer Smith, Iesha Bonner, Sarah Bonner and Jamie Bonner; 5 uncles, Sampson Smith, Jermaine Smith, Joseph Jones and Bo; 6 special cousins, Jadaria Reeves, Dosha, Terriona Harris, Terriona Jones and Eugene Dean; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Diablo, Johnny, Jessie, Eric, Tondra, Jojuana Smith, Fredd Hall, Teaka and Shawn. Ms. Oaks was preceded in death by daughter, Baby Girl Darnisha; grandfather, James Smith; aunt, Tracy Kemp; uncles, Al People and Jeffrey Pringle; cousins, Carlos Reeves Jr. and Jimmy Robinson.
