DAILEY, Ms. Darlene Michele - Age 56, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Medical Briarwood. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, May 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Friends and family will assemble at the Chapel 10:30 AM Thursday. Ms. Dailey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Darlene Michele Dailey affectionately known as “Pokie” was born September 2, 1965 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Bobbie G. Peoples and Bobbie L. Miller. Darlene attended Flint Central High School, “Class of 1985.” She was employed with Flint Community Schools as a Lunch Aide at Martin Elementary School, Genesee Packaging and various other factory and housekeeping jobs. Darlene enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. Darlene M. Dailey “Pokie” loved the Lord and was a former member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. She loved watching TV, playing games on her phone and casino trips. Ms. Darlene Michele Dailey leaves to cherish her memory: father of her daughter, David H. Jeter; daughter, Michelle (Davonta Scott) Jackson; grandchildren, Kysin and Sarai Scott; bonus daughter, Ariana Rett; bonus grandchildren, Gabrielle Jason, Amir, and Jaylin Chappell, all of Flint; mother, Bobbie G. Peoples; father, Bobbie L. Miller; sisters, Tewana (Dorian) Grady of Flint, and Kenya (Rodney) Ezell of Tacoma, WA; brother, Kent D. Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN; aunts, Geraldine Dent and Marylin Thompson; uncles, Phillip and George Thomas, all of Flint; special sisters and brothers, Anthony, Quintin, Timothy, Alphonso, Loanda, Cedrick, Kenneth Dent, Martha Thomas, Keniatta, Demetrius Thompson, Shatoya an LaJuan Thomas, Lotus Pennington, all of Flint; special babies, Teneka Thompson, Chinka Young, Cachét Dent, Premetheis and Kelonie Akins, and Jerome Chapman, all of Flint; niece, Aziya Horne; nephews, Derron Horne Jr. of Tacoma, WA, Malik Bittle, Thomas, Armoni and Legend Mitchell, all of Indianapolis, IN, Que’Londis Pennington of Flint, and Chevez Crenshaw of Grand Rapids, MI; great-niece and great-nephew; a host of other relatives and friends.
