Mr. Daniel K. "Champ" Williams Jr.

WILLIAMS, Mr. Daniel K. Jr. "Champ" - Age 45, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at The Secret Place Tabernacle Church, 1701 Harrison Street, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Nate Dennis officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Mr. Daniel K. Williams, Jr. “Champ” was born October 22, 1969 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Daniel and Mary Williams. He was a faithful member of Secret Place Tabernacle under the leadership of Pastor Nate Dennis. Daniel was a graduate of Beecher Adult Education. He was employed at Creative Form Corporation in Fenton, MI. Daniel didn’t have any hobbies, but he enjoyed serving the Lord and had become a Facebook Inspiration. He was always looking to lift someone up. Daniel enjoyed his family and friends, he never had anything bad to say about anyone. Daniel was a very forgiving person and never held grudges. Mr. Daniel K. Williams, Jr. “Champ” leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Benita Williams; 3 daughters, Shammia T. Massey, Akilah Williams and Mashaya Williams; 2 sons, Daniel L. Williams and Marques L. Lee; 6 grandsons, Jahmiah, Xavier, Izaiah, Daniel, Isaiah and Omari, all of Flint; 4 sisters, Ada (Walter) Edwards, Darla Matthews, Traci Pollard and Niketa Williams; 4 brothers, James (Sallie) Waters, Gundino Pollard, Ray (Lester) Pollard and Sherman Pollard, Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews; 2 aunts, Drianeil Faris and Deborah (Lloyd) Holmes, all of Flint; 2 uncles, Alfonzo (Qvester) Vaughn and Cleophas Gay; sister-in-law, Tammy Vickers; brothers-in-law, William (Geri) Dawson, Kim Dawson, Greg (Fern) Dawson-Moore, Kirk (Kathy) Dawson, Ivan Dawson, Michael Dawson and David Dawson; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Williams; grandparents, Willie Mae Vaughn, Howard Waters, and Mary “Mama Mia” Williams Parker ; great-grandparents, Walter and Sarah Waters; and mother-in-law, Charity Jones.
