HUMPHREY, Mr. Daniel - Age 55, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Greater Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C., 6702 N. Dort Hwy., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Eld. Gillie Harris, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 1:30 p.m. Friday. Mr. Humphrey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Daniel Humphrey was born November 7, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois the son, of James and Cora Lee Humphrey, Sr. Daniel was a resident of Flint, Michigan and a member of International Gospel Center. He graduated from Flint Northern High School. Daniel retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved to bowl. “Dan’s” greatest pastime when he wasn’t fishing or bowling was spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Barbette Humphrey of Flint; 4 sons, Daniel Humphrey, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL, Marcus Humphrey, Terrence (LaToya) Humphrey and Corey Humphrey, all of Flint; 3 stepchildren, Jamaal Wilson of Coolidge, AZ, Al’Leecea (Dominick) Bailey of Grand Blanc, MI and Tanay Riley of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Marcus Humphrey, Jr., Cameron Bailey, Christian Bailey, Aaliyah and Bryanna Bard, Courtney Humphrey, Taulaya Humphrey, Sianna and Daniel Humphrey of Fort Myers, FL and Joseph Riley of Phoenix, AZ; 6 sisters, Juanita (Walter) Gibson, Shirley Horton, Christine Humphrey, Cora (Steve) Delk, all of Flint, Marion Young of Peoria, IL, Flossie (Michael) Morris of Indianapolis, IN; 2 brothers, Clarence (Teka) Humphrey of Pontiac, MI and Greg Humphrey of Flint; sister-in-law, Patsy Wilson of Smyrna, GA; 2 brothers-in-law, Annie Wilson, Jr. and Floyd Wilson, both of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Humphrey was preceded in death by his parents, James Humphrey, Sr. and Cora Lee Humphrey; brother, James Humphrey, Jr.; and grandparents.
