ROBINSON, Mr. Dan - Age 78, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday August 31, 2005 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Wednesday. Mr. Robinson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Dan Robinson was born on May 5, 1927 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the son of Nelson and Flossie (Hafford) Robinson. With honor, Mr. Robinson served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where he earned the respect of his commanding officers and fellow soldiers. In 1954, he was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces and moved to Flint, MI. He was employed with GM Buick Motor Division for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was also a member of UAW Local #599. Mr. Robinson was united in Holy Matrimony to Kay Frances McMullan in October 1967, and was happily married for 35years. Dan was taught the word of God and enjoyed reading his Holy Bible. He was a fan of boxing, baseball and auto racing. Mr. Dan Robinson leaves to cherish his memory: 5 daughters, Dionne and Denise Robinson, Trina McMullan, Vita Schaaf, and Venita Strong, all of Flint; son, Dan (Sun Hee) Robinson, Jr. of Eage River, AK; 8 grandchildren, including special granddaughters, Amaya (MyMy) and BriAnna; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Alma Jean (Milton) Holloway, Carmel Fee of Sun City, AZ, Willie Ann Flynn of Flint; brother, Marshall (Margaret) Robinson of El Cajon, CA; 5 sisters-in-law, Sally Robinson, Cillia (Marion) Chaney, Helen Edwards, and Ida Spencer, all of Flint; Delisa (Tyrone) Sweeney of Orlando, FL; brother-in-law, Maurice (Betty) McMullan of Ypsilanti, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Mr. Dan Robinson was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Robinson; parents, Nelson and Flossie Robinson; sister, Rebecca (Robinson) Harley; 3 brothers, Ned Johnson, Nelson Robinson, and Marvin Robinson. The family would like to extend special thanks to: Doctors, Singh, Arora, Peram, and Bhagat, the staff at Great Lakes McLaren Cancer Center, the staff of McLaren Regional Medical Center (including special nurse, Connie Miller), the Oncology Unit, ICU, and CCU, and the staff of Avalon Hospice.
