Mr. Damarcus Wayne Esters

ESTERS, Mr. Damarcus Wayne - age 42, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with services commencing at 2 p.m. Minister Joann Cager, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Esters will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Damarcus Wayne Esters was born May 5, 1973 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ben and Debra Esters. Damarcus grew up in Flint, where he attended the Flint Public Schools. He later joined Job Corps where he acquired a trade certificate in Carpentry. Damarcus left Flint at the age of 18 to seek his fortune in Washington, D.C. He became a father to Marcus Dawayne Esters before returning to his hometown. Damarcus remained in Washington, D.C. for 10 years before returning to Flint where he met his Fiancé Jennifer Tyree. He was a skilled home improvement technician. In addition to others homes, he spent time renovating his new house. In May 2015, Damarcus turned his life over to God under the guidance of Pastor Marie Blacknall of the New Goshen Baptist Church. Damarcus was loved by all because he had a pure heart that lacked the malice so often shown in this world. He will be remembered and celebrated. Mr. Damarcus Wayne Esters leaves to cherish his memory: son, Marcus Dawayne Esters; 3 step-children, Katie, Makayla and Lexie Tyree; parents, Ben Esters, Debra Esters; grandmother, Marie Blacknall; 2 sisters, Deidra Esters and Laquetta Nolan; brother, Ben Lee; 3 step-sisters, Verlesa, Sondra and Dana Berry; nephew, Christopher Nolan; 5 aunts, June Collins, Lillian and Marie Blacknall, Carolyn Lewis, and Bertha Meeks; 9 uncles, Gregory, Louis and Robert Blacknall, L.T. Saunders, Willie L. Daniel, Van Winfield, Van Earl Lee, Robert Thompson, and Charles Lewis; a host of cousins including, Varadous, Louis, Jr., Sherri, Chriss, James, Nicole, Jeffery, William, Rodney, Cleavon, Joe Louis, Robert, Jermaine, Tewania, Tory, Tiffany, Tyrese and Gregory, Jr.; a host of other loving family members and friends. Mr. Esters was preceded in death by his fiancé, Jennifer Tyree; step-daughter, Gabrielle Tyree; grandparents, Pete Ester, Mary Lee and Primas Blacknall and cousin, Victor Blacknall.
