EVANS, Mrs. Daisy M. - Age 85, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3502 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Jennings Sr. officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, G-3415 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Evans will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Daisy M. Evans was born September 15, 1931 in Jones, Louisiana, she went home to be with the Lord at Prestige Pointe Senior Living. She was the loving daughter of the late Leonard and Willie Mae Lambert. Daisy received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1940 at True Vine Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA. She was an active member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Daisy attended Peabody High School in Alexandria, LA. She continued her education at Henderson Business College in Memphis, TN. Daisy also attended Mott Community College in Flint, MI, as well as The Dale Carnegie Institute and Faith Tech Bible School, there she graduated. She was a member of the Junior League, Alpha Pi Chi for 25 years, Toastmaster’s Intl., International Business Women’s Association and American Business Women’s Association. Daisy was employed by Defense Depot, Memphis, TN for seven years, after which she moved to Flint. She was then employed for Buick Motor Company, a division of General Motors for 21 years where she served in Administration in the Accounting Dept. Mrs. Daisy M. Evans leaves to cherish her memory: daughter-in-law, Robin Paige and family of Grand Blanc, MI; sister, Jenice Coe of Memphis, TN; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Bernice Avant and Connie Scullark, both of Memphis, TN, Tracey Flaggs of Detroit, MI and her Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church family. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Willie Mae Lambert; son, Denis E. Paige; and sisters, Mae Ella and Bernice. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Dr. Marvin A. Jennings, Sr. and the Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church family.
