GREEN-DUPENS, Mrs. Daffney - Age 61, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Thursday. Mrs. Green-Dupens will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM WedneOur beautiful beloved Daffney Green-Dupens, a native of Flint, Michigan was born January 27, 1962 in Flint and graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. The Lord brought her home peacefully on March 4, 2024 surrounded by many angels. Daffney joined her husband, Alfred Dupens in our Lord’s Heavenly Home of Peace. Daffney met the late Alfred Dupens in the 1980’s and they were joined in Holy Matrimony, birthing one handsome son, Orlando (Mindy Muschatt) and an only beautiful granddaughter, Alayna Muschatt. Daffney served in her great community assisting as a retired nurse and had dream of one day opening her own nursing and care home, she never stopped teaching and learning. Her servant heart com- plimented her beautiful, courageous, forthright, warrior spirit. In her finest role Daffney excelled in her glamorous super woman role. Her exemplary life inspires us to love whole heartedly, deeply to serve the Lord, serve other and live life fully. Daffney was a devoted wife, moth- er, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She lived her life relent- less. Her faith in God carried her through her fight with illness. She nev- er wavered in her faith. Daffney was a praying woman with a heart of gold. Daffney Green-Dupens leaves to cherish her memory: son, Or- lando (Mindy Muschatt) Dupens; granddaughter, Alayna Muschatt; 2 sisters, Zenobie Green and Cynthia Hodo-Green, both of Flint; 3 broth- ers, Randy Frazier of Flint, Darnell Green of Batesville, AR and Heath Green of Indianapolis, IN; uncle, Clarence Green; 18 nieces and neph- ews; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including her close friend, Nina Jenkins. Daffney was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dupens; father, George E. Green Sr.; mother, Clover Metcalf Green; grandfather, William Green Sr.; grandmother, Theoda Burns; brothers, Cornell Green Doyle Green, George Green Jr., Alan Green and Joseph Green; uncles, William Jr. and Emmanual Green; aunts, Jewell Scott and Vivi- an Paxton.
