MERRIWETHER, Mrs. Cynthia Marie - Age 49, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 424 Kennelworth Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Dr. Roy I. Greer, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mrs. Merriwether will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Thursday and 9AM-8PM Friday. Mrs. Cynthia Merriwether was born on June 18, 1956 in Flint, MI to Milton and Madeline Watson. Cindy graduated from Flint Southwestern High School "Class of 1975". Cindy was employed at AC Delco. She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Cindy enjoyed drawing, painting and singing. She was loved and cherished by many. Her warm smile, personality and squeaky voice captured the heart of everyone she encountered. Cindy was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren who she kept close to her heart. She was a friend to many and loved by all and she will be deeply and truly missed. Cindy leaves to cherish her memories: 3 children, Ramon and Thea Merriwether, and Ariesdyce Watson all of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Santaniya Merriwether of NC, Raven, Zenobia, N'Dea, Chiquitta, Tre'Vion, and Na'Shaia Merriwether, all of Flint; father of children, Lyman Robert Merriwether, Jr. of Flint; parents, Milton and Madeline Watson of Flint; 2 sisters, Sharon Baxter and Valerie Mills, both of Flint; 1 brother, Baron (Ella Jean) Watson, Sr. of Flint; 5 aunts, Loretta Walton of IN, Marie Harris of IL, Chrystal Watson of MN, and Mary Watson of Flint, Doris Norton of Grand Rapids, Earline McRay and Arline Johnson of AR; mother-in-law, Callie Merriwether of Flint; 2 sisters-in-law, Gladys and Raechelle Merriwether of Flint, 2 brothers-in-law, Greg (Selina) of Flint, and Douglas Merriwether of NC; special friend and father of Ariesdyce, Ares Michael Hill, Sr. of Flint; godson, Kevin Freeman of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Mrs. Cynthia Merriwether was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lola and Gus Norton, Wade and Ora Watson; father-in-law, Lyman Robert Merriwether, Sr., and aunts and uncles.
