ADAMS, Ms. Cynthia Maria - Age 52, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, May 19, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Rev. Timothy Hicks officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Ms. Adams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Ms. Cynthia Maria Adams was born October 26, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William and Ida Adams. Cynthia was a graduate of Northern High School “Class of 1975”. She worked as a Food Services employee for the Flint Public School System. Cynthia cherished the word of God, which was her source of strength. She loved her family with all her heart. Cynthia leaves memories of warmth and laughter for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves to cherish her memory: 5 sisters, Edna Neal of Chicago, IL, Jean (Solomon) Anderson, Sharon Cowson, Mia Ward and April Adams; brother, Stanley Adams, all of Flint; 6 nieces, Billetta (Reggie) Lay of Flint, Holly (Dwayne) Barfield of Grand Rapids, MI, Rayna Peters of Flint, Kidada Neal of Chicago, IL, Abryia Ballard, Terynn Henry, both of Flint; nephews, Emmett Willingham of Grand Rapids, MI, P. Christopher Peters of Chicago, IL, Ernest Willingham of Florida, Demetrius Adams and James Ballard II, both of Flint; 18 great nieces and nephews; 6 great-great nieces and nephews; a host of cousins including special cousin, Annetta Bailey; a host of other relatives and friends including special brothers, Joseph Villalpando and Quincy Cowson and special friend, Roy White. Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, William Rochester Adams, Sr. and Ida Mae Adams; and brothers, William Rochester Adams, Jr. and John Odom Adams.
