JACKSON, Mr. Cornelious, Jr. - Age 58, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at his residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon- 8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Cornelious “Jack” Jackson, Jr. was born October 10, 1953 in Gould Arkansas, the son of Cornelious and Iria May Jackson. Cornelious enjoyed working with mechanics and working on cars. He served in the U.S. Army. Cornelious spent many years working for a Paper Mill in Arkansas. He met his wife, Carolyn Jackson in Warren, Arkansas in April of 1973 and they fell in love and were married August 26, 1973. Over the years they had four beautiful children, which Cornelious loved and cherished. In 1978, Cornelious moved to Flint, Michigan and began working for Fisher Body. He was a very outgoing person who loved music and enjoyed shooting pool. Cornelious also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Carolyn Jackson; children, Tommy Williams, ShaRhonda Jackson, Donte’ Jackson and Jeremy Jackson; grandchildren, Keosha Jackson, KaVondre’ Williams, DeAlshay Jackson, Marquon Jackson, Marquavis Jackson ad Mya Jackson, all of Flint; mother, Iria May Jackson of Los Angeles, CA; father, Cornelious (Jean) Jackson, Sr. of Flint; sisters, Clara May Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Marie Lambert, Carolyn Armstrong, both of Pine Bluff, AR, and Anita Jackson of Grand Rapids, MI; brothers, Lee Willie Jackson of Pine Bluff, AR, Gary Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Adrian (Diane) Jackson, Jr. and Anthony Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his son, DeAndre’ Jackson; and grandparents, Washington and Ellen Jackson and Dora Winston.
