TOLIVER, Mr. Corey Deonte' - Age 40, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2024 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Elder Larry Veotis Jones, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Toliver will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, with family present from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Corey Deonte Toliver, a cherished son, devoted father, and respected colleague, passed away on July 16, 2024 in Princeton, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1984, in Flint, MI to Gwen Toliver and Aaron (Amy) Cooper. Corey's journey began with a strong spiritual foundation as he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Bishop Odis A. Floyd. Corey's academic pursuits led him to graduate from Flint Southwestern Academy in 2002, and he furthered his education at Saginaw Valley State University. In 2013, Corey ventured to Princeton, Texas, where he embarked on a fulfilling career at AT&T as a Prem Tech. Among Corey's many passions, he held a special place in his heart for the Detroit Lions, always cheering for his favorite team with unwavering loyalty. His love for technology was evident through his work and personal pursuits, showcasing his innovative and inquisitive nature. Corey found solace and joy in fishing with his family, mastering the art of cooking and grilling, and actively participating in the yearly Carr Cares foundation football and cheerleading camps. Those who had the privilege of knowing Corey will remember him for his calming presence, quick wit, and generous spirit. His infectious laughter and light-hearted jokes brought joy to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. Mr. Toliver will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kind soul, genuine character, and the love he shared with his family and friends. May his legacy of warmth and compassion live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Mr. Corey D.
