JENKINS, Mr. Corandis Christopher - Age 27, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Robert McCathern officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mr. Jenkins will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:;PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday. Mr. Corandis C. Jenkins was born July 31, 1989 in Flint, Michigan the son of Charles Jenkins and Katherine Murphy. He was a member of Joy Tabernacle. Corandis was employed at the Genesee County Land Bank Authority. He loved his family deeply. Corandis was an avid basketball Player. He also fought several bouts in the Cage Fighting Championships (CFC). Corandis liked Kickball and family functions. Mr. Corandis C. Jenkins leaves to cherish his memory: 3 daughters, Tia’Vashaun Jenkins of Alabama, Jazmine Hicks and Maranda Jenkins; 4 sons, Corandis Jenkins, Jr. “Lil C.J.” Aiden Jenkins, Jamal Jenkins and last but certainly not least, Malik Jenkins; parents, Charles (Terrease) Jenkins and Katherine Murphy; grandparents, Ms. Mary Murphy, Mr. & Mrs. Clinton Jenkins; 2 sisters, Aresha Moore and Nevaeh Jenkins; 3 brothers, Cedrik Murphy, Qua’Vone Jenkins, Remico Baker Jenkins, Jr. and Amir Baker, all of Flint; 3 nieces, Tamiaja Murphy, Simmora Richards and Journey Jenkins; 2 nephews, Cedrick Murphy and Richard Moore; 2 aunts, Mrs. Timeko Jackson and Shonda Jenkins, both of Flint; 3 uncles, Robert Murphy, Casius Childress and Keith Jackson; cousins, Taylor and Tyler Minor, Denell Jenkins, Aquia Jackson, and Lil Keith Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Lamon Anderson and Lil Keith; if we missed anyone please take our mistakes for love you are greatly appreciated. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Murphy, Jr.; great-grandmothers, Ma Hattie Powell, Annie L. Perry and Ida Mae Pointer; great-grandfather, Charlie Jenkins; great-great-grandmother, Dorthy Blair Bell. The family would like to express special thanks to Olive Garden, the Brown family, the Love family and the Baker St. families.
