WILLIAMS, Mr. Clifford Junior - Age 68, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service will commence 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Pastor Earl Fisher officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 11 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Clifford J. Williams was born July 4, 1946 in Flint, MI to Mr. Obadiah Reynolds and Ms. Mary Williams. He was baptized in the 1950’s by Rev. E. Beverly Allen at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Cliff was raised at 1132 Maple St., and attended the Flint Public school system. He graduated from Flint Central High school, “Class of 1964”. He served in the U. S. Army and fought in the Vietnam conflict. When he returned home he became a member of “Chevy in the hole” and UAW 659; and with 30 years of service, he retired. He left his earthly home on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones, waiting to meet his mother at their heavenly home. He loved listening to music and going to concerts. Cliff enjoyed sports, especially the “Lions”. He attended many games to support his nephews and grandson. Cliff will be sorely missed. Cliff is survived by his sons, Dwayne Carroll of Flint, MI and Greg (Carla) Barton of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Tashia Barton of Atlanta, GA, Onimisi Barton, Osei Barton, both of Flint, MI, Ashley Crittle and Kamahria Crittle both of Saginaw, MI, Danielle (Christopher) Kable of Florida, Kevin Whitehead, Talisha Carroll, Sarod Frison, and Adriana Carroll all of Flint, MI; great-grandchildren, Sa’Riyah Harris of Flint, MI and Nasjia Barton of Atlanta, GA; step-mother, Mary Reynolds; sisters, Bobbie Ann Wells, Charlotte (Calvin) Greenard, Betty March-Bryant; brothers, Joseph (Geraldine) Langston, Stanley Langston both of Flint, MI; uncle, Richard (Gloria) Reynolds; special cousin, Alvira Henry; daughter-in-law, Dana Jones (Mother of Carroll children); a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including dearest friend, Evelyn Barton. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Williams; father, Obadiah Reynolds; grandson, Denzel Carroll; and brother, Charles Langston. The family would like to express special thanks to the Nurses and Doctors of Hurley ICU and Dr. B. Towfiq for his care.
