Mr. Clem Howard Hogan

HOGAN, Mr. Clem - Age 91, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Regency of Grand Blanc. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Rev. Randolph White, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Hogan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday with family present fromr 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Clem Howard Hogan affectionately known as “Uncle Sonny” & “Sonny” to family and friends, was born August 12, 1931 in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of Jerry and Fannie Hogan. Clem was also raised in Cambridge an graduated from Cambridge High School. He moved to Flint, Michigan and was hired at Chevrolet Manufacturing “Chevy-in-the-Hole”, a division of General Motors Corporation where he worked for over 40 years. Clem served in the United States Air Force. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Foss Avenue Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Ebenezer Ministries, which is now call Triumph Church. Clem married the love of his life, Lucy Lyles ( known and Luc, his nickname for her), they were married for over 50 years. He loved attending church when he could and he also loved to cook, his family and friends, watching western shows, football and playing the lottery. Clem was a very loving and giving person! Mr. Clem Howard Hogan leaves to cherish his memory: brother, Jerry (Juaria) Hogan of Wake Forest, NC; 7 nieces including special niece, Christine Henderson; 8 nephews; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends; sister-in-law, Mrs. Arlene Bynum of Detroit, MI; a host of special friends including, Frank and Hazel Miller, Thomas Dominique, Pat and Lloyd Cadell (adopted son), Dorothy Kennedy, Charles and Annette Blue and god-son, Paul Kennedy, all of Flint. Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Lucy Hogan; parents, Jerry and Fannie Hogan; 2 sisters, Mattie White and Jessie Fields. The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren-Flint, McLaren Hospice, Dr Kloulani, a very special thanks to the Regency of Grand Blanc staff! Thank you for all the love and care that you gave to our loved one. We will be ever so thankful! Special thank you to his case worker, Tracy Kaye! Mr. Hogan was Honorably Discharged from the United States Airforce.
