REDMOND, Mr. Clarence Edward, Sr. - Age 65, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Health Central Hospital, in Ocoee, FL. Family hour 10AM Saturday, November 10, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Rev Terrence Redmond officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, 9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Saturday. Mr. Redmond will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12PM-8PM Friday. Mr. Clarence Edward Redmond, Sr. was born May 6, 1942 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Arthur and Dorothy Redmond. Clarence resided in Flint, his entire life. In 2006, he retired from Flint Engine, South (Local 659) and relocated to Winter Garden, Florida. Clarence graduated from Flint Central High School "Class of 1961", where he participated in football and other sports. He loved cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Clarence Edward Redmond, Sr., leaves to cherish his memory: beautiful and lovely wife, Marlo Dionne Redmond of Winter Garden, FL; children, Janet Drish of Flint, Thomas (Lynn) Logan of Hot Springs, AR, Clarence (Leola) Redmond of Atlanta, GA, LaWanda Redmond of Flint, Stacey Melton of Charlotte, NC, Marcus Redmond of Atlanta, GA, Antwan Redmond of Flint, Ceaira , Leo J. and Marlon Nixon of Winter Garden, FL; grandchildren, Kuwan, Redmond, Joshua, Christina, Jasmine A., Jasmine N., Jerrell III and Peyton; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Muriel Mitchell, Lorraine (Eddie) Johnson, all of Flint; sisters-in-law, Torria Hudson of Winter Park, FL, and April Hudson of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law, Cynthia Hudson of Flint; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Melton of Atlanta, GA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Lonnie Williams and Sam Winters. Mr. Redmond was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Redmond; 2 sons, Jerrell Melton and Robert Redmond; and brother, Richard.
