POOL, Mr. Christopher- Age 48 passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Pool will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Christopher Lee Pool was born May 4, 1962 in Bakersfield, California, the son of Charles Pool and Mae Alice Grant. Christopher was a resident of Flint, graduating from Northwestern High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Christopher loved going fishing, playing cards and playing dominos. Most of all he loved being with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Renee Pool; 3 daughters, Christina Pool, LaToni and Darlene Edwards; 3 sons, Christopher Pool II, Christian Pool and Chauncey Quinn; 2 special god-children, Lonnie Fields and Teila Corthion; grandson, Maurice O. Nelson II, all of Flint; parents, Charles Pool of Bakersfield, CA and Mae Alice (Leonard) Grant of Mississauga Ontario, Canada; sister, Arritta Pruitt of Virginia Beach, VA; 2 brothers, Billy (Olga) Wiggins of Charlotte, NC and Sgt. Robert (Diana) Pruitt of El Paso, TX; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; 4 sister-in-law, Barbara Mason of Franklin, TN, Gloria (Larry) Royster, Suzette (Byron) Smith of Flint, Marilyn (Dennis) Watson of Lansing, MI; 4 brothers-in-law, Rod Quinn, Wendell (Chimene) Quinn, Cheva (Tomeshia) Quinn and Thomas (Olivia) Quinn, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Haskel (Linda) Walker, Letha Stinson, Charles Mason and the Bray family. Mr. Pool was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and Michael Thrash; grandparents, Sylvester and Rosetta Wiggins; and aunt, Ernestine Lane. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU nurses, Rachel and Maria of Physical Therapy, Sheila and Jackie on the 7th floor and Pearl Lee and Tootsie McNeal.
