Ms. Chereese Migon Green

GREEN, Ms. Chereese Migon - Age 48, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2018 at her residence. Family hour 4:30 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 5:00 PM Pastor Lamar Griggs officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 4:30 PM Saturday. Ms.Green will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Ms. Chereese Mignon Green was born December 21, 1969 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Lentene Gibbs and Perry Green. She attended Flint Public Schools and graduated from Flint Schools of Choice in 1988. Chereese worked various jobs and was exceptionally great at caring for the elderly. She was always willing to help out with her grandparents. Chereese was a loving person and a joy to be around. She enjoyed cooking, music, raising her children and putting a smile on her loved ones faces. Chereese was the “Cake Lady”. At every event she brought the cake with a message “Love Chereese,” she was funny like that. She was known to most as “Big Reese.” She was one of a kind. Her sense of humor and beautiful smile will be forever missed. Ms. Chereese Mignon Green leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Briana Green Walker and Queenasia Blankenship, both of Flint; 6 sons, Bobby Shackelford of Detroit, MI, Ojari Lyles of Las Vegas, NV, TaQuan Lyles of Saginaw, MI, Brion Walker, Keashawn Martin and Dashawn Martin, all of Flint; parents, Lentene Gibbs of Flint and Perry Green of Ruston, LA; grandfather, Billy Joe Green; 3 sisters, Chemeka Davis, Christmas Gibbs and Sommer Green; 3 nieces, Chanelle, Promiss and Savannah; 3 nephews, Seth, Kaiden and Khristian; great-nephew, Imari, all of Flint; 3 aunts, Gwinda Jefferson of Mundy Twp., MI, Helen Coleman and Rose White; uncle, Richard Jefferson, all of Flint; 11 cousins, Jamese, Jawaan and James Jefferson, all of Grand, Blanc, MI, Sonya, Anthony, Janay and DeMarkis Coleman, all of Flint, Swann Graydon of Carrolton, TX, Markus Fuller, Tawas Fuller, both of Flint and Joseph Jefferson of Orange Park, FL; god-sister, Wanda Marthrel; god-children, DaTwan Jones, Cawon, John and ShaQunatae Lyles; a host of other relatives and friends including best friend, Coratta Jones; special friends, Edwin Martin, Bobby Shackelford Sr., Leonard Lyles and Ola Johnson Ms. Green was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ora Myers and Dolly Mae Green; great-grandmother, Lentene Jefferson; great-grandfather, Murphy Jefferson; aunt, Clara Smith; uncles, James Joshua and James Jefferson.
