Mr. Charlie M. "Chuck" Bulluck

BULLUCK, Mr. Charlie M. (Chuck) - Age 76, departed this life at his residence on November 22, 2012 Thanksgiving Day, surrounded by his family that loved him so dearly. Family hour: 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Word of Life Christian Church, 460 W. Atherton Rd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor George D. Wilkinson officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Bulluck will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday. Charlie (Chuck) Mack Bulluck was born to Mary and Jacob Bulluck on December 24, 1935 in Rocky Mount, NC. “Chuck” united with Mount Olive Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Pinetops, NC in 1954. Charlie relocated to Flint, MI in 1955 and worked in management at General Motors until his retirement. He was a faithful member at Blackwell AME Zion Baptist Church until he moved back to North Carolina, serving as an usher and in the choir. He was also a member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church in Flint, MI and St Mark AME Zion Church in Rocky Mt, NC. He joined Word of Life Christian Church upon returning to Flint, MI in 2009. Chuck leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife of thirty years, Billye Bulluck; daughter Denise Bulluck; step-daughters, Lucretia Janada (Elder Darrell) Williams,and Lynn Dorsey of Flint, Michigan; step-son, Rodney Poole of Fishers, IN; sister, Annabelle Shaw of Rocky Mt, NC; four brothers, Herbert Lee Bulluck of Lackawanna, NY, Leon Bulluck of Lackawanna, NY, Jessie Lee (Bernice) Bulluck of Rocky Mt, NC, Ullus (Tina) Bulluck of Miami, FL; nine sisters-in-law, Mary Bulluck and Lallie Baker of North Carolina, Diane (Frank) Gladney of Weir, MS, Janis Rogers of Auburn Hills, MI, Vivian Rogers Pickard of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Gloria (Glenn) Byers of Fenton, MI, Linda (James) Avent of Christiana, TN, Rita (Loston) Rowe of Newark, DE; three brothers-in-law, Leonard (Rosie) Rogers of Hoagland, IN, Breland (Linda) Rogers of Rochester Hills, MI; Dwight (Lisa) Rogers of Swartz Creek, MI; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that he cherished, along with special friends, Milton and Yvonne Tucker, and Mary Singleton. Mr. Bulluck was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Jacob Bulluck; former wife, Shirley Bulluck; siblings, Paul, Lafon, Lonnie and Katie. The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Hospice for the excellent care they provided. Special thanks to Shelia Mitchell who was a dedicated caretaker and beloved friend.
