HOLLIMAN, Mr. Charles - Age 74, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Elder Clyde Childress officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Holliman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Charles Gregory Holliman, who entered into Jehovah’s memory on January 1, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on December 1, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Mr. Charles Lindberg Holliman and Mrs. Nellie Holliman. Charles was the eldest of nine children and, throughout his life, exemplified the qualities of love, leadership, and devotion to both family and faith. In his professional life, Charles worked for General Motors for 31 years, where his integrity and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and peers. Outside of work, Charles was known for his impeccable sense of style and his love for dressing well, always presenting himself with dignity and care. On October 15, 2004, Charles married his beloved wife, Rose Holliman, and together they built a loving and faith-centered home. Their marriage was a beautiful example of mutual respect, love, and support, and together they build a strong and faithful home. Charles found joy in spending time with family and friends, taking cruises with his wife Rose. He often hosting gatherings and creating a warm, welcoming environment for those around him. Music was another of his great joys, and he particularly enjoyed attending the Jazz Fest, where he could immerse himself in the rhythms and melodies that brought him happiness. But most of all, Charles cherished his spiritual life. He loved studying Jehovah's Word and especially enjoyed Bible discussions with some of his close brothers from the congregation. These moments of spiritual fellowship were among the most treasured in his life. Mr. Charles Holliman leaves to cherish his sweet memories: his loving devoted wife, Rose Holliman; 3 daughters, Colette Shumpert, Janine Holliman, and Akisha Gillespie; 4 sons, Aaron (Chevonne) Williams, Demetrius Williams, Marcus Green and Jim (Latrina) Willingham; 19 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Barbara Ann Haynes, Denice (Mike) Dewey, Youree (Alex) Lundy, Carmen (Jimmie) Jackson and Rena (Ryan) Sims; 3 brothers, Dewayne Holliman, Kareem Holliman and Eddie Holliman; uncle, Clyde Holliman; aunt, Ocie Mae Hughes; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His family and friends will forever remember his gentle spirit, his kind heart, and the countless ways he touched their lives with his warmth and generosity. Charles found true joy in serving Jehovah, and his legacy of faithfulness and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. Mr. Holliman was preceded in death by his daughter, Zelika Wooten; son, Gregory Holliman; father, Charles Lindberg Holliman; mother, Nellie Holliman; sister, Ingerdia Ward; mother-in-law, Azile Green; father-in-law, Alex Green; son James Willingham; best friend (dog), Raspberry Holliman.
