Mr. Charles Tommie Ford

FORD, Mr. Charles Tommie - Age 58, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. Family hour 1:30 PM Thursday, January 12, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Thursday. Mr. Ford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Charles Tommie Ford (known to most as T.C.) was born May 16th, 1964 in Flint, Michigan to Geneva and Charlie Ford. T.C was a proud, determined, family oriented young man. His achievements were many. He was smart, articulate, and well-read. T.C. accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as a child at Rising Star Baptist Church where he attended with his Mother and Siblings. On Friday, December 30th 2022 our Heavenly Father Called Charles Tommie (T.C.) home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother Geneva Ford, his father Charlie Ford, and his sister Valeria Ford. Both his maternal and paternal grandmothers Clara Bradley and Marcella Hamilton, and both maternal and paternal grandfathers Lewis Woody and Tommie Ford. His beloved niece Da’Kiya Noel, his aunt Betty Enright, and Vivian Smith, Uncles Willie Joe and Louis Ford, and special cousins John Hamilton (Boot) and Ravena Enright. Charles leaves to cherish his life and memories to: his only biological daughter, Tearsa Sargent; his life partner, Leshell Johnson; two step-children, Jonmonet Hodge and Armonde Johnson; three sisters, Vanessa Ford (Chattooga, Tennessee), Marcell Gardy (Buffalo, New York), and Natasha Anderson (Buffalo, New York); four grandchildren, Signe Sargent, Serenity Calhoun, Saniya Fields, and Jairius Fields Jr.; several nieces and nephews, Samuel Ford, Clarence Ford, Zack Waller Jr., Thomas Noel II, Dequan Noel, Isaiah Batson, Da’Kari Ford; nieces, Cesere Ford, Jalia Waller, Kandi Knight, Aliyah Ford, Deja Stevens, Taliha Stevens, Nia Stevens; great-nieces and nephews, Samuel Jr., Omarion, Azarius, Nehemiah, Samaria, Leah, Kaiden, Aria, and Ariel. While T.C. leaves to cherish a host of relatives we want to give a special thanks to a few of his cousins; Mike Callahan, Doris (Fatih) Buggs, Maso Buggs. He also leaves a host of friends, but the family would like to express a special thank you to Annette Bell, Sallie Key. .
