Ms. Celeste Katrice Perkins

PERKINS, Ms. Celeste - Age 45, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Word of Life Christian Church, 460 W. Atherton Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Delrico Loyd, officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, G3415 Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Saturday. Ms. Perkins will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and there will be a Memorial Visitation Friday from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM with family present from 4:00PM-6:00PM. Celeste Katrice Perkins was born September 16, 1979, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Dennis E. Perkins and Celeste Miller. She was a resident of Sunset Plaza Apartments in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Celeste graduated from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1997.” She also furthered her education at Baker College. Celeste worked for a mobile medical company. She had such a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Celeste loved to draw and paint. She also loved to socialize with family and friends, traveling, some good old soul food and play a good hand of spades. Celeste really enjoyed driving fast and she practiced that by driving go-carts!!! Celeste enjoyed bowling, going to the movies and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She was affiliated with Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church. Celeste Katrice Perkins leaves to cherish her memory: father, Dennis E. Perkins; mother, Celeste Miller; grandmother, Eva M. Perkins, all of Flint; uncles, Joseph (Elizabeth) Miler of Hanover, MD, Ronald (Jada) Clark of Mt. Morris, MI, Randy (Jacqueline) Clark of Dayton, OH, David Clark of Flint, Willie D. Clark of Flint, Wayne H Miller of Lake City, MI, Samuel P. Miller of Clarkston, MI and Walter Miller; aunts, Verna (Robert) Crawford, Dorothy Jean Clark, all of Flint, and Tameka L. Clark of Grand Rapids, MI; many many beloved cousins, other relatives and friends including, David (Star) Wilkes of Mississippi, Tommy (Jackie) Byest of Arkansas; special cousins, Stanley Paige and Taylor L. Cardwell. I wanted to take the time to give a special thank you to Katrice’s aunt, Temeka L. Clark for always being like her sister and to Stanley Paige for always being there for her. Celeste was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronald and Dorthy Clark, Hubert and Mae Miller; great-grandparents, Joe Miller, Ellis and Verna Morgan; aunts, Cynthia Miller, Sandra Clark and Christine C. Mack-Tammons; uncles, Darryl D. Perkins and Stanley Clark; and 1st cousin, Keith Clark. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor George Wilkinson, Senior Pastor Delrico J.
