Mrs. Carolyn Boss-Baylor

BOSS-BAYLOR, Mrs. Carolyn - Age 71, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, in LaVergne. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral hone 1:30 PM Friday. Mrs. Boss-Baylor will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Carolyn Boss-Baylor was born December 17, 1951 in Alexandria, La. The daughter of Levinder (L C) Boss and Charlotte Price Boss Thomas. Carolyn accepted God at an early age. She was residing in LaVergne, TN. She loved being around her family and enjoying laughter, dancing, watching westerns, word puzzles and playing cards. She worked in housekeeping in Assistant Living and Nursing Homes in Louisiana and Michigan for many years. She loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the oldest to the youngest, there is nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. Something her family will ALWAYS remember her saying is “Y’all know I have CRS!” Mrs. Carolyn Boss-Baylor leaves to cherish her memory 1 son Pierce Baylor III, 4 daughters Pamela Boss-McGee, Patrice (Chako) Boss-Tidwell, Tonika Baylor all of Flint, MI and April Baylor of LaVergne, TN. Three sisters Betty Raye Boss, Juanita (Julius) Thomas, Frances (Dwight) Thomas-Tennie all of Alexandria, La. Sixteen grandchildren Camellia Boss, Christopher Boss, Darshun Boss, Jimmetrick Thomas, Terrinika Gable all of Alexandria, La, Glenn Cosey II, Bobby Smith III, L C Boss, Zion Tidwell, Javaka Johnson, Terrell Griffin, Tyrone Griffin Jr., Nadia Baylor, Caron Baylor all of Flint, MI, and Darkaree Baylor of LaVergne, TN. Nineteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Special friend Mrs. Betty Turner. Mrs. Boss-Baylor was preceded in death by her parents of Levinder (L C) Boss and Charlotte Price Boss Thomas, husband Pierce Richard Baylor II, daughter Kimberly Boss, granddaughter Tyanika Griffin, son-in-law Arthur McGee Jr., 3 sisters Mary Boss-Coaty, Bessie Boss-Ford, Patsy Thomas-Rhone and 2 brothers Charles Allen Boss and Leon Price.
