FRENCH, Ms. Carol - Age 72, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Majestic Care of Flushing- Flushing, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart Ave. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Christopher Taylor, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Ms. French will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Ms. Carol French was born on August 19, 1951, in Flint Michigan. Carol attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Northwestern High School with the class of 1969. Carol also attended Mott Community College. She united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Carol attended Sunday School sang in the Choir and participated in other church activities. Carol was employed at the Buick Division of General Motors Corporation. She also worked as a health care employee for several years. Ms. Carol French leaves to cherish her memory: loving and forever caring mother, Queen Esther (Taylor) French; two loving and devoted brothers, Vernell (Toni) French of Gainesville, VA and Herschel Eugene (Sharon) French of Fayetteville, NC; loving and devoted aunt, Fay Robinson; 3 nieces, Carolyn, Gloria, & Grace French; 2 nephews, Herschel Jr. & Edwin French; great-grandniece, Kristen French; great-grandnephew, Malachi French; very special cousins, Pamela (Henry) Holden, Wanda Lay, Darlene Robinson, Marie Robinson, Rickey (Joyce) Taylor, Michael (Juanda) Taylor, Greg Taylor, Daryl ( Kim) Taylor and Tony Watkins and his wife; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. French was preceded in death by her father, Bonnie French; uncle & aunt, Otis and Verdi Taylor; grandparents, Odie & Carrie (Mills) Taylor and Theodore & Beulah (Frazier) French. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff in ICU at Hurley Medical Center and the Briarwood and Majestic rehabilitation centers. The family would also like to thank Pastor Christopher Taylor and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family as well as the staff at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home.
