Ms. Carlotta Kay Armstrong

ARMSTRONG, Ms. Carlotta Kay - Age 46, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, G-6415 N. Clio, Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12 p.m. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Ms. Armstrong will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Carlotta K. Armstrong was born on December 11, 1968 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Barbara Madden. Carlotta was a resident of Mt. Morris, Michigan and attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School class of 1987, Genesee Area Skill Center where she received her cosmetology license, and Mott Community College where she received her associate degree in Nursing. Carlotta was a Registered nurse for 22 years at Hurley Medical Center in the ICU and NICU departments. In her personal time she loved music and sports. Carlotta was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and wonderful friend, as well as caregiver, intelligent, strong-willed, friendly, cheerful, and strong believer in self-education. Carlotta K. Armstrong leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, India Armstrong; parents, Barbara Madden and Thomas Armstrong; step parent, Levan Madden; 4 grandparents, Ruskin Armstrong, Nellie Atkins Armstrong, Mack Carr and Carrie Hickman Carr; 2 sisters, Dewanner Mitchell and Bridgett Armstrong-Warren; 4 nephews, David Mitchell, Keaton Armstrong, Dante and Darrius Hall; aunt, Mildred Battle; uncle, James Battle; 9 cousins, Shelia Battle, Anthony and Kim Bradshaw, Dwayne and Barbara Sue Carr, Angie, Andre, and Derrick Dukes, and Regina Evan Hudson; brother-in-law, Jeffery Warren; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends Bridgette Thompson, Katina Wilborn, Tameka Blanks, Toya Butler, Rose Norris Clements.
