Carlion Eldridge

ELDRIDGE, Mrs. Carlion Jean - Age 58, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Rev. Harry Prince officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G- 4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Eldridge will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Tuesday during family hour only. Mrs. Carlion Jean Eldridge was born March 11, 1953 in Stuttgart, Arkansas, the daughter of Lovell Longs. Carlion was a resident of Flint. She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Carlion attended Beecher High School, Mott Community College and Northwestern State University in Louisiana. She was employed with Rapides Medical Center in Alexandria, LA and Maplewood Manor in Clio, MI. Carlion was an active member of Oman Court No. 132 (Daughters of Isis) and serving as the Illustrious Commandress from 2010 until her untimely departure. She enjoyed family, traveling, fishing and visiting with her many friends. Mrs. Carlion Jean Eldridge leaves to cherish her memory: husband, James F. Eldridge; 2 daughters, Lovell Miller and Lakesha (Ravern) Charles; 3 sons, David Longs, Isaac Miller and Victor (Natalie) Miller; 3 stepchildren, Portia (Donnie) Odom, Jamille (Timothy) Richardson and Latrelle J. Eldridge; grandchildren, David Lee Longs, Jr., Dennis Miller, Jakesha Miller, Dyesha Miller-Killins, Carlion Miller, Dazmenn Miller-Killins, Albert Creel, Raven Charles, all of Flint, Jerica Scales, Sharrica Scales, both of Pine Bluff, AR, Isiah Miller of St. Louis, MO, and DellageJuan Paxton of Atlanta, GA; 3 sisters, Rosie (Robert) Morris, Shelia Longs Jackson and Tracy Longs; brother, Billy Ray Longs of Gary, IN; 2 nieces; 9 nephews; 6 aunts, Gloria (Tim) Austin, Lois (Leroy) Small, Alean Henderson of Stuttgart, AR, Eddie Mae Shelton of Pine Bluff, AR, Barbara (Orenthal) Bruce of Jacksonville, AR and Jannie Johnson of N. Little Rock, AR; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Brenda Williams and Daughters of Oman Court No. 132.
