Cardozia Hayman,

HAYMAN, Mr. Cardozia, Jr. "Doe" - Age 66, of Flint, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 29, 2010, due to head injuries sustained in a car accident that occurred in 1991. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Vernon Chapel AME Church, 5802 Dupont St., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Pastor Daniel Johnson officiating, Pastor Ernest J. Garrison, Sr., Host Pastor Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home, 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Hayman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Saturday during family hour only. Mr. Cardozia "Doe" Hayman, Jr. was born to Cardozia and Rosie Lee (Kindley) Hayman on April 15, 1944, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, there he attended Highland Baptist Church and was baptized, graduated from C.P. Coleman High School and met his future wife. Cardozia "Doe" Hayman, Jr. was one of 13 children, having 4 sisters and 8 brothers. Cardozia was a fun and outgoing individual, with a no nonsense attitude. He was brave and compassionate, always willing to help those in need, all with an ability to make those around him feel comfortable, while standing up for what he believed in. Cardozia was forever young at heart with a youthful attitude, being very athletic and having a love of playing and watching football and basketball. His love of Motown music kept him going out dancing and roller skating with many friends and some of his brothers. Later in life, Cardozia worked for GM in Flint, a member of Chevrolet UAW 659. Doe will also be remembered for his love of Western movies. Surviving are his four children and their families; ever loving and devoted Angelia (Hayman) Weier and husband Bill Weier and their, son Kyle, of Portage, MI; Cardozia Bernard Hayman and wife Kate of Ann Arbor MI, and their sons, Alex and Kamp; Simoia (Hayman) Jager-Agler and husband Tim Agler of Lansing, MI and sons Lee and Brandon Jager; and Dorin Nelson and wife Kinita of Flint, MI and sons Deontai and Dorin, Jr. and daughters, Canei, D'nita and D'nitra, of Flint, MI. Also surviving is his childhood sweetheart, Mildred (Hayman) Johnson. Doe leaves behind his loving siblings, 4 sisters, Mary Lee Murphy of St. Louis, MO; Doris Mae (Archie) Halford, of Flint, MI, Lonie Mae (Johnson) Litszey and husband Leroy, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Verdean Miller of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and 5 brothers, Otis (Deanna -Deceased) Hayman of St. Louis, MO; Willie C. Hayman of Union City, CA; Madison Hayman of Kansas City, MO; Roy C. Hayman, of Flint, MI, and Carl Lee Hayman of Kansas City, MO . Cardozia's family also includes many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as Uncle Lee Willie Hayman and Aunt Lilly (Lee Van) Hayman. Mr. Hayman was preceded in death by his brother, Forest Hayman (1991); father, Cardozia Hayman (1991); 2 brothers, Ocie Hayman (1995) and Floyd Hayman (2001); and mother, Rosie Lee (Kindley) Hayman (2005).
