Ms. Candice Raquel Moore

MOORE, Ms. Candice R. - Age 48, passed away Saturday February 17, 2024, in Carroll County, GA. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Greater Holy Temple Church of God In Christ, 6702 N. Dort Hwy, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Bishop Roger Jones Officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Ms. Moore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Public viewing will be held only during the family hour. Ms. Candice Raquel Moore was the only child born to Henry Moore, Jr. and Linda A. Moore on June 7, 1975 in Flint, MI. Candice grew up in Flint, MI and graduated from Southwestern Academy, class of 1993. Candice received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Michigan State University in East Lansing and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Candice’s work experience included engineering at General Motors Service Parts Division and Frito Lay Company in Texas. She also worked at several other employment venues prior to her death on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Candice was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Kendall Moore (her constant companion). Candice was also a friend and caregiver for her mother Linda Moore. Ms. Candice Raquel Moore is survived by her only daughter, Kendall E. Moore; mother, Linda A. Moore; aunts, Marilyn (Denise) Montgomery of Southfield, MI and Freda Rundloff of Katy, TX; uncles, Dr. Marvin Santos of Forest City, CA, Elder Charles (Jeanette) Moore of Lisle, IL, Mr. Jewell Moore of Bolingbrook IL; cousins, Jennifer Simmons, Kimberly Slaughter, Vala Claybrook, Tierra Moore, Gerald Moore, Charles Moore Jr., Sheldon Allen and Chales; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her father, Maestro Henry Moore Jr.; grandparents, Myrtle Brown, Mamie Lee Olds (Moore), and Henry Moore, Sr.; aunts, Cleopra Allen (Moore) and Joyce Marie Fowlkes (Weaver). The family would like to express special thanks to the emergency staff at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA, Rev. Mac Gentry Jr., Dr. Deborah Hamilton, Dr. Linda Itson, Ms. Linda Wells, Bishop Roger L. Jones, Sr. and Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home.
