Bride Lucille Jones

JONES, Bride Mother Lucille - Age 84, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Kith Haven Nursing Home. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Spritual of Israel Church and It's Army, 222 Edmund, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Eld. Janice Walker officiating, Bishop James Hill, Pastor. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Family, friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Wednesday. Bride Mother Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Bride Mother Lucille Jones was born August 24, 1920 in Americus, Georgia, the daughter of Bobbie and Hattie (Brown) Allen. Mother Jones was a resident of Flint. She was a faithful member of the Spiritual Israel Church And It's Army for 65 years, serving as Bride Mother, and Missionary President until her illness. She was formerly employed at Uncle Bob"s Diner, the Rest Haven Nursing Home and the YWCA. Bride Mother Jones loved to crochet, work crossword puzzles, and especially enjoyed helping whomever she could. Bride Mother Lucille Jones leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, LaDean Brown, and Elder Janice Walker; 6 grandchildren, Carmen Walker, Preston (Brenda) Walker, all of Flint, Lawrence (Jolaine) Walker of Atlanta, GA, Nyla Moore, Tonya Brown, JoAnn Brown, all of Jacksonville, FL; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Moore; 2 nieces, Gina (James) Moton, and Shelonda Pray; 2 nephews, Maurice (Lisa) Shumpert, Jr., Darius (Sharhonda) Shumpert; and uncle, Claude Bivins, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, the spiritual brothers and sisters of Spiritual Israel Church And It's Army, Bride Mother Mattie Mitchell, and spiritual granddaughter, DeSchanell Smith. Bride Mother Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Jones; parents, Bobbie and Hattie Allen; brother, Bobbie Clayton Allen; grandsons, Andrew Brown, Kevin Walker; and nephew, Maurice Shumpert. The family would like to express special thanks to the Spiritual Israel Church And It's Army family, the staffs of Davita Dialysis, Hurley Medical Center, Kith Haven Nursing Home, and Heartland Hospice.
