Mr. Brendal Lee Odom

ODOM, Mr. Brendal Lee - Age 62, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence in Beatrice, AL. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor David Odom officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Odom will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mr. Brendal Lee Odom “Dirty Redd” was born March 9, 1957 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Walter and Fannie (Burns) Odom. He was a resident of Beatrice, AL. Brendal graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1976.” He was a member of Tri City Van Club International and Fraternal Order of Masonry St. John Lodge #198. Brendal retired from Lake Orion Assembly Plant, a division of General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #5906 in Lake Orion, MI. He loved watching old western movies, cooking, traveling and listening to the Blues. Brendal has a great love for his sons, family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. Mr. Brendal Lee Odom leaves to cherish his memory: 4 sons, Rendal (Unika) Odom of Flint, Rodick Odom of Fenton, MI, Brandon Duncan of Indiana and Kivondi Lewis of Dallas, TX; 3 step-children, Cassandra (Bill) Harris of Texas, Latrina Turner and Duvarl Murdock, both of Flint; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; parents, Walter and Fannie (Burns) Odom; sister, Annie Odom of Flint; 5 brothers, Walter Jr., Charlie (Alisa) Odom, Anthony (Sheila) Odom, all of Flint, William (Joanne) Odom of Ypsilanti, MI and Grady (Jackie) Odom of Smyrna, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins including special cousins, George (Skyy) King and Otha Davison of Beatrice, AL; a host of other relatives and friends including, special friends, Maxine Eerry of Beatrice, AL. Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his wife, Secmarica Turner; grandparents, Arthur and Pearline Burns, Barney and Sarah Odom.
