WILLIS, Ms. Brenda Pamela - Age 65, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Southeast Christian Church, 4171 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Dr. Henry L. Fuller, officiating, Pastor Kenneth Brown, Host Pastor. Interment, Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. There will be no public viewing. Ms. Brenda Pamela Willis was born March 21, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Nathaniel and Bennie Ruth (James) Willis. Brenda attended Flint Christian School for her early education and then Flint Southwestern High School until she graduated in 1976. Brenda was a woman with great fortitude who took tremendous pride in motivating and encouraging others to succeed in life. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. At the early age of 5 years old, Brenda took interest in music and began playing the piano and the organ. She played for several churches including Grace Emmanuel, Evergreen, Vermont Christian, Metropolitan, Dozier CME, Morningstar, St. Peter CME, Blackwell AME and Mt. Calvary under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Henry L. Fuller Jr. Her musical talent was shared for more than 50 years. Brenda excepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church. Brenda was employed at A.C. Delphi, a division of General Motors Corporation until she retired after 30 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, shopping and making jewelry. Ms. Brenda Pamela Willis leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Bennie Ruth Willis of Flint; brother, Anthony Willis of Flint Twp., MI; 2 sisters, Linda Willis of Clarkston, GA and Ruthy (Bill) Quarles of Holly, MI; 3 nephews, Anthony Willis Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Jeremiah (Candice) Quarles of Prairie View, TX and Jonathan Quarles of Detroit, MI; niece, Antonia Camay Willis of Nashville, TN; 5 great-nieces, Chloe Williams of Lawrenceville, GA, Bella, Jai and Emerson Quarles, all of Detroit, MI, Avery Quarles of Prairie View, TX; uncle, Arthur Willis of Flint; 3 aunts, Juanita Roberts of Riverside, CA, Freddie Golden of St. Louis, MO and Lena Mae Willis of Pine Bluff, AR; a host of cousins including special cousin, Ray Buggs of Flint; god-brother, Tarvonion McLilly; god-sister, Mrs. Jozelle Stinson; and the Breed grandchildren; a host of friends including best friend, Doretha Breed of Flint, the Wiggins, Itson, Threlkeld and Barks Street families, and Dozier CME Church family. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Willis; brothers, Nathaniel Willis Jr. and Darrell Willis; grandparents, Bynum and Hattie James, Wilson Willis, Willie M.
