Mr. Bobby Lee Fletcher Sr.

FLETCHER, Mr. Bobby Lee - Age 69, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Fletcher will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Monday, January 24, 2022, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with family present 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Bobby Fletcher Sr. was born May 19, 1952 in Doddsville, Mississippi, the son of the late Henry Fletcher and Clara Wells-Fletcher. Bobby was known by many as “Baby Love”. “Baby Love” enjoyed riding motorcycles alongside his Windjammer Brothers; where he was a member and a DJ for many years. He enjoyed all backgrounds of music and dancing. The many joys of Bobby’s life were traveling back to his hometown to be with his family. Bobby accepted Christ at an early age, was very active and a member of Old Jericho Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Glory Bound Singers where he sang Tenor. Bobby attended Blaine Elementary School in Doddsville, MS and Ruleville Central High School in Ruleville, MS. He met his wife, Edith at MVSU whom he married and they shared a life of 45 years. Bobby retired from Pontiac Truck & Bus, a division of General Motors Corporation after 30 plus years of service in August of 2008. Mr. Bobby Fletcher Sr. transitioned from this life on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Woodland Park Assisted Care where he resided. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Edith Fletcher; children, Latonia (Corey Sr.) Townsend of Grand Blanc, MI, Bobby (Shayla) Fletcher Jr. of Flint, Helen Miller of Indianola, MS, Leon Charles (Sandra) Fletcher Sr. of Grand Prairie, TX, Karl Maurice (Rena) Fletcher Sr. of Flint, Linda Thompson of Cleveland, MS, Glenn (Andrea) Willis of Cedar Hill, TX, Debra Norman of Cleveland, MS, Bruce (Mercedes) Willis of Patterson, NJ, Victor Fletcher of Doddsville, MS, Joseph Fletcher Sr. of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Corey Townsend Jr., Jaylen Fletcher, Saria Fletcher, Nyajia Fletcher, Bobby Fletcher III, Te’Ayshia Stocker and Te’shia Stocker; great-grandchild, Camrynn Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Fletcher and Clara Wells-Fletcher; brother, Henry Lee Fletcher; aunt, Mary Littlejohn; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Miller.
