MILLER, Mr. Bobbie Lee - Age 78, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Eld. Ronald Roland, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Tuesday. Mr. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Bobbie Lee Miller was born December 16, 1944 in Limestone, Tennessee, the son of Warren Watson and Helen Miller-Richardson. Bobbie was a resident of Flint, Michigan for the last 6 years, prior to that he resided in Youngstown, Ohio for over 30 years where he retired from General Motors Lordstown Plant. He loved fishing, auto racing, horse and dog racing, sports and gambling. Bobbie also loved spending time with his family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Mr. Bobbie Lee Miller leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters and a son, Tewana A. Grady of Flint, Kent D. Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN and Kenya K. Ezell of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Michelle (Davonta Scott) Jackson of Flint, Malik Bittle of Indianapolis, IN, Aziya A.J. Horne, Derron L. Horne, both of Tacoma, WA, Armonia and Thomas Mitchell, both of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren, Kysin and Sarai Scott, both of Flint; mothers of his children, Bobbie G. Peoples of Flint, Verna Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN and Darlene Keyes of Tacoma, WA; 17 1st cousins; a host of other cousins, family and friends including special friends, Paul Entry and Mike Infante, both of Youngstown, OH, June Gilbert of Warren, OH and all of the friends in the Westchester Court Apartment in Youngstown, OH. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Darlene “Poke” Dailey; parents, Warren Watson and Helen Miller-Richardson; grandparents, Albert and Ida Miller; 6 aunts, Francis, Dorothy, Ilda, Marian, Barbara and Naomi; uncle, James “Jim” Miller; a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 5 West staff especially Dr. Basim A. Towfiq MD and his neighbor at West Court Street Flats.
