Beverly Bush

BUSH, Mrs. Beverly J. – Age 75, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10AM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1610 W. Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Pastor James Kennedy officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mrs. Bush will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 Noon-8PM Friday with family present from 4-8PM. Mrs. Beverly Jean Bush was born May 26, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Fannie Lee Lightfoot and Benny Davis. Beverly was born and raised in Flint, where she graduated from Flint Northern High School. She resided in Denver, Colorado for the past 10 years and recently returned to Flint. Beverly was employed for many years by Hamady Brothers Supermarket as a cashier and held several other retail positions. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and recently rededicated her life to the Lord. Beverly was an avid Motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of The Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club in Saginaw, MI, where she held various offices and was affectionately known as “Charo”. She enjoyed knitting blankets and making ceramic banks for her grandchildren. Beverly’s favorite movies were Sci-Fi and westerns, with interests in music, dancing, puzzles, reading and bowling. She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Fannie L. Walker; 4 daughters, Sandra Brandon, Nedra Bush, Lisa (Eric) Johnson, all of Flint and Valerie Ewing of Denver, CO; 2 sons, John Bush III and David (Dana) Bush, all of Flint; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 loving sisters, Starlee McDaniel and Linda Davis-McKinney of Flint; brother, Allen Robinson of New York; 3 nieces, Brenda Norris, Eljean McDaniel and Artelia Davis; 5 nephews, Frederick McDaniel, Terance McDaniel, Terry Luster, James Luster, Jr., all of Flint and Maurice McDaniel of Indianapolis; 3 aunts, Dorothy Jones of Detroit, MI, Thelma (Thomas) Haywood and Rosemary Turner, all of Flint; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Tonya Cozart, Betty Loving, Diane Beck and Antionette Allen. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mamie McMillan, William Walker and Benny Davis; and sister, Dorothy Luster. The family would like to express special thanks to Collier Hospice staff of Wheatridge, CO, Avalon Hospice staff, Dr. Pederson of Denver, Wade Jackson, Andrius Vorrice, Pastor James E. Kennedy and the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church family, Carpenter Road Church of Christ family, Senior Pastor Urundi Knox and Rev. Jeanette Wilson and the Ebenezer Ministries family.
