Mrs. Beverly Ann Bronson

BRONSON, Mrs. Beverly - Age 71, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 5151 Lennon Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Desiree Lawson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Thursday. Mrs. Bronson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday with the family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Beverly Ann Bronson, age 71 went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, August 24, 2018 at McLaren-Flint in Flint, Michigan. Beverly was born, October 5, 1946 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Oliver and Olivia Roland. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1964 where she remained a loyal Central Indian. Beverly attended Flint Junior College. Afterwards, she began a career in the banking business, starting at Citizens Bank. Beverly spent 30 plus years at Security Federal Credit Union, retiring in 2003 as a Loan Officer. Her customers would often recognize her out in public, commenting on how nice she was and how they missed seeing her at Security Federal. Beverly was a faithful and dedicated member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church. She served as a Deacon and as the Assistant Church Treasurer. Beverly was also a member of the Usher Team, Finance Team, Nominating Team and The Presbyterian Women’s Group. She rarely missed a Sunday, usually with Shayla and Darrius, and any other grandchildren that may be visiting at her side. Beverly was an outstanding May Kay Representative, doing make up presentations to many of the ladies in attendance. She was also a licensed Primerica Financial Service Representative. Beverly served two terms as President of the Central Flint Optimist Club, which she enjoyed because of their commitment to the children of this community. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the states of Arkansas, Missouri, California, Texas, Illinois, North and South Carolina, Tennessee to name a few. In fact, she was planning a trip to Hawaii to see her granddaughter, Tia, graduate from high school in 2019. She will be truly missed. Mrs. Beverly Ann Bronson leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Waldo Bronson; sons, Lloyd (Colleen) Cabell, Sgt Major Darnell (Sadie) Cabell and W E “Pete” (Sherida) Polk; daughter, Kimberly Cabell; niece/daughter, Cynthia Harris; step-sons, Vernon (Wendie) Yancy, Jamal (Candace) Jordan and Glenn (Brittany) Bronson; step-daughter, Lisa Carpenter; granddaughters, Tia Cabell, Shayla Cabell, MarQuetta (Jack) Williams, Martesia Young and MarCedez Young; great-granddaughter, Kimiyah Williams; step-granddaughters, Jasmine Yancy, Shai Carpenter, Khari Carpenter, Parker Jordan, Cassie Jordan; grandsons, Darrius Cabell, MarQuan Cabell, MarShaun Cabell and Marquise Young; step-grandsons, Glen Yancy, Bryce Carpenter and Carter Bronson; brothers, Oliver (Idella) and Robert (Paulette) Roland; sister, Delores Holbrook; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including, Rodney (Sandra) Thomas, Barbara (Robert) Welch and Lloyd (Patricia) Cabell; Beverly’s best friends, Francine Houston, Alvina Owens and Sheila Phillips. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Olivia Roland; sister, Emma Harris; and mother-in-law, Celestine Bronson. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Bhagat, McLaren-Flint CCU staff and her Trinity Presbyterian Church family.
