LEE, Mrs. Betty - Age 84, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Ascension Genesys, Grand Blanc, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 28, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Lee will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:.00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Betty Jean Lee was born on September 24, 1939 In Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Charles Washington Jr. and Earline Washington. She attended Flint Central High School, obtained her LPN from Mott Community College and Hurley School of Nursing, retired from Hurley Medical Center with 35 years of service. She was a former member of Canaan Baptist Church, and If you drove down Fifth Avenue you would see her walking on her lunch break. Mrs. Betty Jean Lee leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Colonel Lee Jr. of Flint; son, Reginald Lee of Davison, MI; daughter, Gail Marie Henry of Corunna, MI, Franklin, TN; granddaughter, Nakilia (Shmar) Hearns of Flint; grandsons, Dominic D. Henry of Corunna, MI, Franklin, TN and Samveno Gatewood of Grand Blanc, MI; great-grandchildren, Nakaree and Jayceon Hearns, sister, Ilene Robinson, all of Flint; sisters-in-law, Ida Johnson of Flint Twp., MI, Delores Vaughn of Clio, MI, Winona Hinton of Flint Twp., MI; brothers-in-law, Clyde W. Lee Sr. of Burton, MI, Joseph (Dorothy) Lee of Flushing, MI, Eugene (Cathis) Lee of Grand Blanc, MI and Anthony Lee of Detroit, MI; uncle, Joe Crockett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins-Simpsons and Washingtons; special cousins, Rita and Nita Washington; a host of friends including former son-in-law and friend, Abraham Henry Jr., special friends, Janice Keahey, Vivian Graham, Tommie Watkins, Stacey Lofton, Delores and coworkers from Hurley and walking buddy, Primary Care Giver-Yolonda Tammy Mayfield, Care Giver-Collen Fails and nieces, Debra Simmons, Crystal Munerlyn and Tamika Davis.
