JONES-WILLIAMS, Ms. Betty Kay - Age 59, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Family hour 12:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2016 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with celebration of life service commencing at 1:00 PM Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 12:00 PM Monday. Ms. Williams will lie in state int he Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Visitation will take place Sunday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with the family present to receive friends from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. There will be no public viewing. Ms. Betty Kay “Kitty” Jones-Williams was born December 15, 1956 in Flint Michigan, the daughter of Johnnie and Vera Jones. She was baptized at an early age; she believed and trusted in God and was a member of Infinite House of Praise Church in Grand Prairie TX, under the leadership of Pastor Roderick Williams. She attended Flint Public Schools and earned a Nail Technician Certificate from Hair Force Academy. After years of service she retired from Truck & Bus a Division of General Motors. Ms. Williams was a beautiful lady with a radiant smile. She was full of life, love, charisma, excitement and tenacity. She was known by many for her infectious sense of humor and craziness. She had a playful spirit and indeed the life of the party. She was never lost for words and would not hesitate to curse you out. Betty believed in “Keeping It Real.” She was very selective as to who she would let in her space and call her friend. Betty was a mother figure to so many and often influenced others with her compassion, understanding, life’s experiences and her outspokenness. She allowed her understanding of life and cautious personality to saturate most all situations. She was an immaculate housekeeper; everything had to be in its rightful place. Those most close to her called her a neat freak. She was known for her impeccable personal appearance, flair for fashion and her hair, fingernails and toenails were always well manicured. Betty was an adamant reader, she read scripture daily and would often use her life story to inspire others to just trust God. She was also a great skater and loved bowling. Ms. Williams loving, caring, dedicated and incredible children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life, the light of her world and the driving force that kept her fighting. They gave Betty’s life so much meaning and her love for them ALL was unconditional. Everyone knew that her granddaughter MyMy was her sweet precious pride -n-joy. The love she exemplified for her mother, sisters, brother, family and friends was indisputable. The special bond and connection between her and her sisters, Linda and Janice will last throughout eternity. Ms. Williams enjoyed life and she lived her life her way. Betty was simply UNSTOPPABLE! She remained faithful to her children, grandchildren, family and friends and her love for them all grew more and more each day of her life. Betty fought a good fight all the way to the end and she finished her course. Her memories and the love she shared will always be in the hearts of those who loved her unconditionally.
