NETTLES, Mother Bernice - Age 70, passed away Monday, May 8, 2006 at Fosterian Health Care. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with the funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Eld. Charlie Poole officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Mother Nettles will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mother Bernice Nettles was born March 6, 1936 in Marvell, Arkansas, the daughter of Wardell and Eular C. Reed. She was a life long resident of Flint. Mother Nettles was a member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God In Christ. In her 46 years as a member, she served as the School of Wisdom Superintendent, Missionary, Teacher, Head Cook of the Kitchen, Shepard Mother, and for the last 10 years served as County Mother of Genesee County. Mother Nettles enjoyed helping others who needed her help and was a God fearing woman. She also worked at Slidell Senior Citizen Foster Grandparent Program for 10 years. Mother Bernice Nettles leaves to cherish her memory: 4 daughters, Theoris Hall of Grand Rapids, MI, Devoris Bell of Flint, Brenda (Frank) Miranda of Bakersfield, CA, Taunya (Michael) Wright of Flint; 2 sons, Cleophis Hall of Little Rock, AR, and Stanley (Faye) Hall of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Malcom, Alisha, John, Shucon, Lashawn, Angel, James II, Keont'e and Michael, Jr.; sisters, Zella Mae Lewis, Adella Henagan of Marvell, AR, Vivian (Joe) Stovall of Omaha, NE; brothers, Ulicious (James Ora) Reed, Wardell Reed, Jr., both of Marvell, AR, Lawrence C. (Harriet) Reed, of Little Rock, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Many other relatives and friends including special family, the Williams and Nettles family. Mother Nettles was preceded in death by her husband, Eld. William Nettles; 3 children, Augustus Hall, Rena Allen and Darryl Nettles; grandson, "Kwayvon"; parents, Wardell and Eular Reed; and sister- in-law, Earlene Crittenden. The family would like to express special thanks to Marilyn Hill, Paullette Williams, Stella Ely and Estelle Holton, Ms. Katie Williams and the Triumph the Church throughout the Kingdom, the staff of Heartland Hospice-Fosterian, DaVita Dialysis, McLaren Kidney Center, and the Stat EMS.
