PETERSON, Ms. Autumn Michelle - Age 63, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, August 2, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Pastor Will Morgan officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Peterson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6 :00 PM with family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Ms. Autumn Michelle Peterson was born March 2, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. Willie James Peterson (deceased) and Mrs. Betty J. Mosley-Maberry. She attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1979” where she enjoyed running track. Later after graduating from high school, she became a mother of 2 children, Takeisha Michelle Pugh and DeAngelo Dewon McEwen. Ms. Peterson held various jobs in the service sector until 2007, then she was unable to work due to health issues. She loved her family and was a people person. Autumn loved to eat, as her appetite was as big as her personality. She also loved playing cards and Dominos, listening to music, dancing and living her life to its fullest. Ms. Peterson was baptized and accepted Christ while growing up as a child at Vernon Chapel AME Church. As an adult, she was a spiritual person, who believed in God. Ms. Autumn Michelle Peterson leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Takeisha Michelle Pugh; son, DeAngelo Dewon McEwen; mother, Betty (Calvin) Mosley-Maberry, all of Flint; grandchild, Jayden Michael Durham; sisters, Tammy (Charles) Marshall of Grand Blanc, MI and Corey (Darius) Brown of Parkland, FL; step-sister, Diana (Arthur) Wright of Flint; step-brother, Calvin (Abigail) Maberry Jr. of Jackson, MS; aunt, Dorothy Sanders of Flint; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins including special cousin, Angela Jones; a host of friends including those at Linden Lane Apartments. Ms. Peterson was preceded in death by her father, Willie J. Peterson; sister, Candia M. Payne; niece, Ashely E. Payne; paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
