Mr. Arthur R. Weary

WEARY, Mr. Arthur R. - Age 61, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Weary will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 noon - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Arthur Ray Weary “John Earl” was born August 23, 1951 in Tyler Town, Mississippi, the son of the late Rachel Lenoir and John L. Weary. He resided in Flint, Michigan for most of his life. Arthur attended Flint Southwestern High School and Mott Community College (formally JC Community College), where he graduated with a Associate of Art’s Degree. John began working for Cadillac Grand Blanc, a division of General Motors for 11 ½ years before retiring on disability in 1992. John enjoyed watching sports; football and baseball were among his favorites. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. John loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. Although John did not have any biological children, he raised his niece, Katrina Lenoir from the age of 6 years old. He also aided in raising her daughter, Makiyah Lenoir. Mr. Arthur Ray Weary leaves to cherish sweet memories: 6 step-children, Renea Edwards, Monica (Jermaine) Jackson, Carletta Edwards, Gregory Edwards, Sonja Johnson and Carl Johnson, all of Flint;7 grandchildren, Marquavis, De’vondre, Terrance, Quandarius, Quaneisha, Qionna and Kiana; 4 sisters, Ms. Ruth Mae Weary, Ms. Mazilo Weary, Ms. Catirene Weary and Ms. Arlean Weary; 2 brothers, Larry Clark Lenoir (Julie), all of Flint and Mitchell Weary of Mississippi; 4 nieces, Katrina Lenoir, Nikki Woodson, Makiyah Lenoir and Anjewel Lenoir; 5 nephews, Henry Lenoir, Jr., Jordan Henderson, Henry Lenoir III, Jafari Lenoir and Raevone Lenoir; aunt, Alma Hogan of Milwaukee, WN; a host of cousins including the Holmes Family; a host of friends including Elvin and Betty Caldwell and Children, Helen Brown, Crosby Hill, Lekedia Whitaker, Anette Seaman and Family, the Dixon, Morgan Families, Berdie Johnson and Family. Mr. Weary was preceded in death by his parents, Rachel Lenoir and John L. Weary; sister, Anita Lenoir, brothers, Henry Lenoir, Sr., Bennie Weary and Vernell Weary. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 4 East ICU Unit, Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church Family, New Jerusalem Church Of God In Christ and Open Door Church Of God In Christ.
